This educational and recreational project aims to promote science and technology across all segments of Saudi society and foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
Located in northern Riyadh, the Oasis spans 300,000 square meters and includes several scientific and recreational facilities, including:
• 12 Exhibition Halls showcasing experiments in natural, social, and engineering sciences
• Opera Theater hosting various performances including opera, ballet, and musicals
• Space Center with models, experiments, and educational programs
• Human Museum exploring human history and evolution
• Science Playground for interactive science learning for children
The total project cost is around SAR 2.5 billion (USD 670 million). The first phase was opened in 2022, and the second is expected in 2025.
Rawaq Najd provided engineering consultancy services including design reviews, redesigns, and as-built drawings. The buildings were initially designed according to GCC specifications, but Rawaq updated the designs to comply with the Saudi Building Code and obtained approvals accordingly.
