The restoration and development project of the At-Turaif Historical District aims to revive the historical heritage of Diriyah, the capital of the First Saudi State.
The district covers an area of around 600,000 square meters and includes 13 historical sites, including Salwa Palace, Al-Masmak Palace, and Qasr Al-Hukm.
The total cost of the At-Turaif Museums Project is approximately SAR 12 billion (USD 3.2 billion). The first phase was inaugurated in 2019, with the second phase expected to be completed by 2023.
The project includes five specialized museums focusing on the First Saudi State:
• Diriyah Museum
• Social Life Museum
• Military Museum
• Arabian Horses Museum
• Trade and Treasury Museum
Rawaq Najd played a vital role in supporting the supervising authority by overcoming challenges related to fire protection systems due to the historic nature of the buildings. The company provided engineering solutions, including design reviews, redesigns, and approvals of safety and operational plans for all museum sites.
